The Why: A New Standard for the Modern Mid-Lifer

I believe that the "mid-life" years shouldn't be defined by accepting gradual decline. It should be the era where you leverage a lifetime of experience with a body that finally works for you, not against you.

My journey here wasn't linear. In my mid-30s, I hit a wall—hard. Caught in the grind of corporate pressure and a fast-paced aerospace startup, I ignored the early warning signs of physical and mental burnout. The result was a total system collapse that took years to rebuild.

Looking back, it didn't have to happen. With the diagnostic and training tools I possess today, I could have not only navigated that stress but thrived through it.

That experience became the blueprint for 2X.TRAINING. I realized that most mid-lifers are over-training and under-recovering because they lack the data to know what their body actually needs. I stopped treating fitness as a "more is better" endeavor and started treating it as a precision instrument.

I don’t just train; I audit movement patterns and biology. As a Functional Diagnostic Nutrition Practitioner (FDN-P) and strength coach, I combine high-efficiency, joint-friendly strength protocols with metabolic health testing.

My 2X.TRAINING approach is the culmination of 20+ years of performance coaching and clinical health work. It is designed for the high-functioning mid-lifer who refuses to compromise on their healthspan, providing a high-tension, time-efficient solution that delivers maximum results with minimal weekly time investment.

Life Outside the Gym

When I’m not supporting clients at 2X.TRAINING, you can find me coaching football at Acalanes High School or enjoying my family; and you’ll find me staying active in the ways that matter most to me: resistance training, mobility work, walking, hiking and exploring the northern California coast. I’m a firm believer that if you can’t maintain your lifestyle, you haven’t truly reached your potential.
